Nicaragua WEDDING Adventure

Pari and I invite you to join us for our epic wedding experience set within the luxurious beach community that we have come to think of as our second home: Hacienda Iguana!
Your home for the week will be a modern, luxurious, and spacious beachfront house, directly in front of one of the world’s top 10 surf breaks known as Playa Colorado.
Be serenaded by monkeys and exotic birds while enjoying hearty and healthy cuisine. You’ll experience relaxation, adventure, and connection as we celebrate our union at this magical beach.
You’ll have time and space to disconnect from your routine and reconnect with intention to friends and loved ones during this unforgettable and all-inclusive experience in Nicaragua.
Your home for the week will be in Hacienda Iguana, a private beachside golf community 2.5 hours drive from the capital city of Managua.
This community is one of the best-kept secrets I have ever found anywhere in the world (it’s my version of The Beach that Leonardo DiCaprio found in Thailand!). I found this community completely by accident in 2019 and Pari and I visited many times, including a 6 week stay during the height of Covid in 2020!
THE LOCATION
THE ITINERARY
Day 1: Sunday 3rd
Arrivals and Welcome Dinner
You will arrive at Managua Airport in the morning and will be met by our transfer service where 30+ of your fellow guests will also be arriving.
Upon arrival at Hacienda Iguana, you will be met with cocktails and a BBQ lunch to welcome you into your new home for the week.
After settling in, we will have a catered Welcome Dinner hosted at the main house where we can kick back and relax and just enjoy the start of an amazing week.
Day 2: Monday 4th
PARTY BOAT
Wake up and head over to Casa Maria Del Mar, the main house, and enjoy a hearty breakfast spread. Fresh fruits, coffee, banana bread, and an omelet bar will be ready for you every morning of your stay. After, get ready for a lovely day on the sea aboard the luxurious Shooka Catamaran! Enjoy the spectacular view of the Nica coastline while free-flowing to the sounds of Shared Rhythms with DJ Adrenal and Polarity. Swim or float in the turquoise bay and keep your eye out for playful dolphins and sea turtles.
Day 3: Tuesday 5th
Formal Sunset Dinner
Use this day to enjoy the pool, dip in the ocean or have some fun on the 9-hole golf course. Yoga is offered in a beach front palapa, or you can wander down the beach, and check out Hacienda Iguana cruising in your golf cart. This is your day to do as you wish, be it catch up on a few work items or work on your tan.
In the evening, we’ll enjoy a formal hilltop dinner at Finca Wayuu, which is one of the most amazing places Pari and I have ever seen a sunset. It truly is a spectacular place to enjoy an amazing meal.
Day 4: Wednesday 6th
Granada and Volcanoes
This day is for the adventure seekers and those who want to explore Nicaragua’s majestic landscape. We will visit two volcanoes, Mombachu Volcano, boasting epic views of Lake Nicaragua and the surrounding islets, and Massaya Volcano with stunning views right into the heart of the crater where you will see the red glow of lava boiling and feel the steam as it billows from the center of the Earth.
In between volcano visits, we’ll pop in for lunch at the lovely colonial city of Granada. You can use this time to try the local cacao, pick up some Nicaraguan cigars (better than Cuban!), or meander through the local markets shopping for souvenirs. We’ll end this day with a delightful catered dinner offering exquisite Italian dishes made by our own Italian chef and great friend, Tati. Relax and enjoy!
Day 5, Thursday 7th
Bollywood Party Night
This day is the day we separate the girls from the guys! Girls: prepare to be pampered with facials, massages, mani/pedis, Reiki, PRP. Any and all relaxing services will be available at a beach house. Guys: your bonding activity will be determined closer to the date and we’re thinking it will be beach or ocean activity off-property. Later in the day, the ladies will have a Mehndi Party, a pre-cursor for our Bollywood-themed Party Night where the girls will reunite with the guys.
Day 6, Friday 8th
WEDDING AND BEACH RAVE
This is the day we’ve all been waiting for. Join Pari and I for our beautiful sunset wedding ceremony at the Beach Club and witness as our amazing friend Heather marries us! After the ceremony, be prepared to experience our wedding rave with a night of partying and raging with DJ Shared Rythms under the Nicaraguan moonlight. The celebration will continue long into the night and will continue back at the main house as we celebrate with the people we love in our life.
Day 7, Saturday 9th
DECOMPRESSION AND FAREWELL DINNER
This day is yours to enjoy by the pool, lounging in a hammock or soaking up all the good feels from the week. We’ll have our farewell dinner at Casa Anana’s dining on Italian cuisine and reveling in the magical experience we’ve all enjoyed in Nicaragua, celebrating the amazing week we have all had!
Day 8, Sunday 10th
Departures
It’s time to pack up and say goodbye to your friends and to Nicaragua. You will be transferred back to Managua to catch your afternoon flight home!
THE BEACH FRONT VILLAS
The Beachfront villas feature spacious deluxe bedrooms with private bathrooms, modern kitchens, and ample living areas. Enjoy furnished terraces with stunning beach and surf views for an ideal tropical beach experience. Wake up to waves, relax in a hammock, sip drinks on the verandah, and take a dip in the pool or ocean just steps away.
Villas include A/C, daily cleaning, Wi-Fi, and home-like comforts. Ensuite bedrooms offer King, Queen, or Twin beds (convertible to King). Choose from Master rooms within the house or Casitas at the back of each property.
THE DINING EXPERIENCE
Start each day with a delicious breakfast at the main house, Maria del Mar, featuring a fruit and yogurt bowl with organic quinoa, local yogurt, pineapple, dragon fruit, caramelized banana, house-made granola, coconut, and chia seeds. An egg bar offers a different eggy dish daily, complemented by fresh homemade banana bread, squeezed juices, and Nicaraguan coffee.
Experience diverse catered dinners throughout the week, including Italian delights from Casa Ananas, featuring homemade pasta, gourmet pizzas, seafood, and steak. Salty Koala, an Australian-run restaurant, serves Southeast Asian and Indian flavors with Korean fried chicken burgers, dumplings, curry, and dahl. For hill-top fine dining at Finca Wayuu, indulge in Mediterranean lobster, steak, veggie dishes, homemade hummus, and decadent tiramisu desserts.
The Catamaran
Join an elite sailing experience cruising the Pacific Ocean along the coastline of beautiful Nicaragua. Relax and unwind on the spacious and luxurious 47’ sailing catamaran. The beautiful Shooka has an abundance of elegance balanced with friendly party vibes to kick off the wedding week as you reunite with old friends and make new connections. Enjoy the sounds of Shared Rhythms, with DJ Adrenal and Polarity while watching for whales, dolphins, and sea turtles, and go snorkeling in the bay.
The Volcanoes
Mombacho Volcano: Overlooking Granada, surrounded by coffee plantations, with a 1km "El Cráter" Trail through a unique Pacific cloud forest. Masaya Volcano: Accessible and active, you can walk or drive to its crater to witness a rare lava lake, revealing columns of smoke and boiling lava.
THE FLIGHTS
Avianca Airlines is our recommended airline to fly to Nicaragua (MGA - Managua). You will take an overnight flight from most US destinations (such as LAX, Ontario (CA), Las Vegas, Houston, Washington, Miami) and connect in San Salvador where you will meet most of the guests as you then board your 1 hour flight to Managua. Departing, Avianca has many connecting flights out on the Sunday afternoon which will give you plenty of time to make your flight on the last day.
NOTE: My intention is to help everyone book their flights and our intention is to have as many people arrive and depart on the same flight as possible. The Avianca flights are really great and are what Pari and I almost always travel to Nicaragua on.
The flights are actually very reasonable with a round-trip fare from LAX to MGA currently costing just under $500 for the basic fare.
Please don't book any flights just yet until we have had a chance to discuss and confirm with you.

Pari and I have worked really hard to make this a fully all-inclusive week which includes almost everything we can think of aside from a few optional extras. The only thing not included is your airfare to and from Nicaragua.
This means you will be sharing a room but will have your own bed. If you are coming solo, we will match you up with someone we think will be a good fit (don’t worry, we will talk with you about this in depth beforehand.) You can also choose to pay an additional fee and have the whole room to yourself. Your choice.
Pari and I really hope that you can experience the full week long adventure we have created. Of course, if that is not possible, just let us know and we can discuss a shortened option. Ideally, we would like you to come from at least Wednesday through Sunday at a minimum. Just talk to us and we will figure out a custom trip that works for you!
Yes! Pari and I have an amazing local friend, Christy, who we both love dearly. She is our wedding coordinator and Christy will be available pretty much 24/7 and will take care of anything you might need, whether it is tooth paste, your favorite drink, or a massage (and a lot of other things).
Yes! All the houses have WiFi and your phone most likely will roam with no issues. If you truly need to be connected, Christy can also organize a SIM data card which is what I use when I am visiting to ensure perfect connectivity.
We have currently room for 32 guests and we can easily add another house to increase that to around 40-42. From talking with our friends and running some rough numbers, we expect anywhere from 30-40 guests. Such a perfect number for an amazing week!
We are just super flexible. If something comes up even 2 weeks before the wedding, Pari and I will happily fully refund your money. You don’t have to worry.
We’ve designed this trip to be as affordable as possible! Your fee covers everything you need for a fantastic week – accommodation, meals, activities, and more. While the wedding itself and the beach rave are separate expenses (which we’re covering!), we’ve subsidized other costs to keep your overall experience budget-friendly. This is a non-profit trip – we just want to create unforgettable memories with you in Nicaragua!
To secure your spot for this unforgettable adventure, we require a deposit of only $100. The remaining balance will be due by October 1st. Of course, feel free to pay in full upfront if that works best for you!
No worries about unexpected events – we offer a full refund on your trip deposit (and entire balance if paid in full) at any time.
